BARDIBAS, FEB 07 - UCPN (Maoist) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal has reiterated that constitution drafting is the top most priority of his party.
During his joint meeting with local political cadres and media persons at a hall of Bardibas-based Parijat Memorial Hospital in Mahottari district on Fri
day, former Prime Minister Dahal said state power is not the priority of his party which has already decided to stay in the opposition bench."But, the party can review its decision if constitution drafting is affected because of its absence in the government," he added.
The UCPN (M) Chairman further said that the promulgation of the new constitution within a year is still possible if the parties in the Constituent Assembly work honestly.
The nation and people will get new constitution within a year if the decisions made by the earlier CA are endorsed and all the political parties gear up for constitution making process with flexibilities, he said.
Also on the occasion, Dahal visited the patients receiving treatment at the hospital and took stock of situation of their treatment, before leaving for Siraha.
