The Miss Universe 2013 pageant begins with a performance followed by contestants walking down the ramp to introduce themselves.

The hosts, Thomas Roberts of 'MSNBC Live' and Mel B of 'America’s Got Talent' take the centrestage to announce the 'Top 16' contestants.

Russia is hosting Miss Universe for the first time in the pageant's 61-year history, with contestants from 86 countries vying for the Miss Universe 2013 title in a concert hall in Moscow.
Nagpur girl, Manasi Moghe is representing India at the pageant this year. The 22-year-old is an engineering graduate.
Widely tipped to take the crown this year is Miss Philippines, 24-year-old chemistry graduate, Ariella Arida.
The judges for the grand final include Aerosmith singer Steven Tyler, super model Anne Vyalitsyna and flamboyant Russian pop king Filipp Kirkorov, while ex-Spice Girls star Mel B will co-host along with US television host Thomas Roberts.
The show is being held in Crocus City Hall, a concert venue by the Moscow ring road.
The organisers promise the unveiling of a million-dollar "emerald, ruby and diamond" swimming costume, which the winner will get to wear.
