A girl from Hemja, Pokhara, Bindu Pariyar, was taken to the US to work as a strip dancer by an US citizen. The guy, Tom Sewell, had known Bindu since her childhood and he waited till she became an adult to marry and take her to the USA. In various photos and videos released by Tom, he had trained Bindu to become strip dancer so that he can live in her income.

When Bindu got tired of Tom and ran away with a boyfriend, Tom released intimate photos and videos of Bindu to defame her. A leading weekly ‘Saptahik’ also published a cover story on the strip dancer.

If the life of Bindu is investigated, a lot of dark side of her relationship with the US citizen and his friends could be revealed. At times, Bindu has told that Tom and his friends have abusing the children in Nepal. Although the claim isn’t baseless, authenticity of the claim is not easy to prove.

Nagbeli - Release on Friday

This week Nepali movie directed by popular choreographer Gobind Rai, ‘Nagbeli’ is going to release in theater. The movie produced by Govind Rai’s god-sister, UK resident Romiyan Limbu, features Harshika Shrestha, Surabhi Jain, Dayahang Rai, Vicky Malla, Nir Shah, Yashraj Garach etc. in main roles. The premier show of the movie was held on Thursday in Kumari theater among selected film artists, film unit and journalists. The movie made on the story of youth of current time covers various aspects of the life of youth including struggle, political strength, trust and abduction.

25-years-old producer Romiyan had been living in the UK for a decade. She had also acted in a few video films in the past. She is currently in Nepal to promote the movie.

The movie written by a popular film critic Dipendra Lama is being released at the time the FIFA World Cup is at it’s peak. Other film producers have accused the game to affect their business.

Aawaran, Thulo Manche, Khudkilo and Pipal- Release Friday

Four new movies are being released on May 16, 2014 in theaters all over Nepal. Director Subash Koirala‘s movie ‘Aawaran’,  director Prashant Tamang’s direction ‘Thulo Manche’, Niranjan Kasaju’s movie ‘Peepal’ and Janakraj Khakurel’s movie ‘Khudkilo’ are releasing in theater this Friday.

The most publicized movies among the four new releases is ‘Aawaran’. The movie directed by Subash Koirala is also told to be made by using latest graphic technology. The movie features actress Priyanka Karki in leading role and other actors in the movie include Divya Dev, Sushil Raj Pandey, Naresh poudel, Anubhav Regmi and others. The movie made on horror suspense thriller is produced by Anil Yonjan.

Thulo Manche

A movie made on a story of children, ‘Thulo Manche’ is directed by artist Prashant Tamang. The movie produced by Pradeep Khadka features a number of child artists. Actress Keki Adhikari is featured in guest role in the movie.

Khudkilo

Produced by Balbahadur Shrestha, ‘Khudkilo’ is directed by Janakraj Khakurel. The love story movie features Kiran Lakaul, Richa Singh Thakuri, and Suraj Thakuri in lead roles. The movie is made on the story of Shekhar Gyawali.

Three Nepali movies – Mokshya, Jhola and Mutu releasing on Friday

Three Nepali movies ‘Mokshya’, ‘Jhola’ and ‘Mutu’ are releasing in theaters on Friday, February 7.

Musical dram and biopic ‘Mokshya’ is considered to be one of the best movies of the year based on the review of the preview shows. The movie made on a real story of a musical band is also a story of the director Prabin Shrestha himself. The movie produced by Sunil Manandhar features Koshis Chhetri and Benisha Hamal in lead roles.
  
Another movie with potential is made on the story of a well known literary figure, Krishna Dharabasi. As a book, ‘Jhola’ had been quite popular and now, the story is made into a movies. The movie directed by Yadav Bhattarai features Garima Pant, Laxmi Giri, Deshbhakta Khanal.

Upcoming Nepali Film MOKSHYA 2014

There are quite a number of releases for the upcoming year and MOKSHYA happens to be one of them. The upcoming Nepali film by Prabeen Shrestha revolves around music and follows few lead characters and their journey to come to terms with a defining moment in their lives. The movie which is based on a true story will be in cinemas on 7th February 2014. The makers have recently shared a song and a teaser of MOKSHYA. Looks interesting – would’ve preferred to have the theatrical trailer before a teaser yeah… I’m sure that’s coming our way soon.

Rajesh Hamal to get married in February-March

In a program held in Kathmandu, Hamal told about his plan to get married in Falgun (February – March). In his previous plan they was planning to get married a month earlier in Magh, but, because of some problem the marriage is delayed by a month.

Rajesh Hamal was at a program to unveil singer and musician Meghraj Magarati’s musical album ‘Anamol Shristi’. On the questions by journalists Hamal said, “You can be assured, I will get married in Falgun.” He also added that the marriage will be a simple ceremony without much noises. About the exact date, he told about a journalist meet at the start of February.

It has been quite some time since the actor Rajesh Hamal had revealed the existence of a girl friend. The actor had been successful in keeping his girlfriend secret for more than a year. When a rumor that the affair being fake started going around, the girlfriend agreed to talk to a ‘Saptahik’ journalist.  It was later revealed that the girlfriend was Madhu Bhattarai. About six months before the real identity of the girlfriend was revealed, we had received unconfirmed information about the name being Madhu.

Hamal had planned to get married in 2010 but, on the suggestion of an astrologer it was postponed till 2013. It is not known why the 50-years-old actor couldn’t marry in 2013 and he is waiting till the Valentine Day of 2014.

Divorce poster and trailer released, film to release on April 4

A poster and a trailer of Manish Pantha’s upcoming movie ‘Divorce’ are released online recently. The movie scheduled to release on April 4, 2014 tell the story of family relationship and the society. The movie also tries to create awareness on youth about making sex videos and their consequences.

‘Biteka Pal’ team celebrates Keki Adhikari birthday during audio launch

On the occasion of the lead actress’ birthday of the upcoming movie ‘Biteka Pal’, the film team organized a special celebration. This was the second time Keki Adhikari was celebrating her birthday with the film team. Last year, she celebrated her birthday in Darjeeling when the shooting of the movie was going on.

The celebration was done during the audio launch of the movie. Speaking at the ceremony Manoj KC told that Keki was the next big name in the industry after Rekha thapa. Producer Raj Kumar Rai also appreciated hard working nature of Keki. The director Suraj Subba also appreciated the work of keki.

Two actresses Priyanka Karki and Hema Shrestha do an item dance in Hasiya

In an upcoming movie, ‘Hasiya’ two actresses – Priyanka Karki and Hema Shrestha are featured as item girls. The shooting of the movie has recently concluded. One of the item dancers, Hema is the lead actress of the movie.

The director of the movie Milan Chams says that the dance is not only an item dance but an action item song. The choreographer of the dance, Renasha Rai claims that it was the first time two major actresses have done an item song in Nepali movie.

The set made for the shooting of the song is told to be the costliest set to be made for any item dance in Nepali movie, so far. Before breaking the cost record, the costliest set was made for Rekha Thapa‘s dance. The choreographer of the Rekha’s dance was also Renasha. Renasha says that the item song of ‘Hasiya’ is one of the best songs she has done in her career.

In the event, artists of the movie Priyanka Karki, Aryan Sigdel, Bishnu Karki and Narendra Sen Thakuri had also watched the movie with the viewers. The director Nabaraj Acharya and cinematographer Hari Humagain were also present in the show.
