बोक्सीको आरोप लगाएर कुटपिट गरि एक महिलालाई जलाएर मारियो

Witches are common in Nepal,  mostly  in remote area. Witches who do the black magic and harm people who they don’t like or have an ego problem. Daily there are news reports on abuses inflicted on people who have been accused of witchcraft. This is an incident happened in Chitwan district. A woman was burnt to death by a group of people after accusing her of practicing witchcraft in Madi of Chitwan district Friday morning. Thegani  Devi  Mahato, 40, of Bhagauda-2, was mercilessly beaten by a group of five to seven people and set on fire by pouring kerosene on her body while she was still alive, police said. She breathed her last shortly after. Women’s rights activists have been battling for decades to end this form of gender violence but the problem persists, especially in the Terai region, the southern fertile plains of the country, they say. It is shocked to find the incidence of women being subject to the worst form of violence - both physical and mental - at the hands of their families and local communities.
