Well known Nepali film director Shiva Regmi is fighting for life in a hospital in Balkhu. He was being treated in Chitwan when the condition worsened and was air-lifted to Kathmandu in an air ambulance on Wednesday.
While being treated for pneumonia in the ICU of Chitwan Medical College Hospital. The plan to take him to India for treatment was also postponed because of the worsening health condition.
Shiva Regmi fell ill when he was in Chitwan for Dashain tika. Both of his kidneys have failed and he is waiting for kidney transplantation. The transplantation scheduled on the first week of Mangsir in a Delhi hospital was postponed because of high pneumonia. Regmi’s younger brother has agreed to donate his kidney for his brother.
Regmi is known for directing popular movies like ‘Afanta’, ‘Afno Manche’, ‘Hami Teen Bhai‘, ‘Ae Mero Hajur’ and ‘Kaha Bhetiyale’.
